Lavenham Autumn/Winter 2011 Lookbook

July 25, 2011

Purveyors of the quilted riding jacket, Lavenham have released images from their forthcoming Autumn/Winter collection for 2011. And as with the previous season this one sees them yet again moving traditional quilted outdoor wear forwards into a more fashion orientated product whist still keeping hold of its original, rural sensibilities.

For the new range, Lavenham have delved deep inside their now four decades old archive to bring us a collection of outerwear that takes its inspiration from traditional stable workers, and as you’d expect from the brand, all things equestrian. They’ve expanded upon the materials used in the collection to now include fabrics such as British wools, British Millerain waxed cottons and high performance yarn-dyed woven polyester.

The product has always been a simple one, which is why it works so well and had endured for as long as it has. There are a few styles of jacket, including a non-quilted one and a few variations on the body warmer theme in the collection, all of which are nicely detailed with things like contrast buttons/press studs, corduroy shoulder panels and simple patch pockets.

Some of the selection comes lined and some is left without but all are lightweight and come in a selection of earthy tones for Winter, perfect in either the countryside or the city. So if you like what you see here and want more information on the brand, or to find your nearest stockist, have a look at their website here: Lavenham.
