Hello chap, I think I do remember actually, I certainly remember how cold it was that night! Ah, the time when queuing for trainers was worth it. I bought the 87’s and the 90’s that night, although I sold both pairs a few years ago, along with my 87 Amsterdam’s (still miss those) and some other bits.

Thanks for the kind words about the blog, glad you like it & hope you’re keeping well.

Mate, i know you’re a skateboarding fan from reading through and I’ve just seen this not 10 minutes ago and was going to blog it, and thought you might get a kick out of it as well.

Probably the most impressive skateboarding I’ve seen in 5-10 years.

Firstly just wanted to say how much I love your blog. I’ve been following it for a while now and it truly is my favourite for men’s fashion – you can tell you have such a passion for it and your taste is so spot on.

I know you’re from London, but I’m headed to New York for a few weeks next month, and I was wondering if you’d recommend any men’s fashion stores you think I should check out?

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks so much,

Hi, I got here in search of the coat worn by this cowboy. Some of the coats on this site where in the same general direction but none came close enough.
Wouldn’t you say this exact coat should return sometime soon (preferably this winter)?
It’s driving me nuts I can’t seem to find it so any tips to this exact same coat would be appreciated🙂 http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6056/6249881348_73fa7ff07d_b.jpg

Hey, I’ve never seen you do a post on S.N.S. Herning. What are your thoughts on them? Do you like their designs and output?

I recently researched these guys a bit more and I think they are another great Danish label. Apparently a season’s garments production is no more than 3000 in total, made all the more special by the fact that only 5 people work in their mill.

Hey! love blog! I’m from South Africa, a heavy men’s fashion admirer and in the process of writing an essay on …. the changes that are evident in Men’s Fashion today ? If you are interested It would be great if you could give me your opinion as you are a mens fashion enthusiast. My real question is… who/ what do you think has influenced men to be so fashion conscious for the 2013 collections ?
    Thanks so much

    Hi Rob
Funny to fid your blog after 5 years surfing the web and getting and education in everything that refers to clothing.
The story is a bit like this…..I am a 40 years old Chilean and at the age of 35 I went to study my LLM to the UK. I lived in Goodenough College which is a residential accommodation for international students that is located 5 minutes from Lambs Conduit Street. Until that time my experience with clothing was always unsatisfactory as it was very hard for me to find clothes that I like as the offer in my country is very poor…..or at least for my taste. I spent basically my 20s and till my mid 30s dressed in Benetton and some random pieces that I bought when abroad like Muji, Steven Alan, French Connection, Gap, H&M etc. Always thought that I was just too picky and it was really my problem, not the industry.
The thing is that in 2011 and 2012 Oliver Spencer and Folk were doing excellent collections and I was drooling every time I entered both stores almost on a daily basis. For the first time in my life I found people who were doing stuff just like I wanted. I could have bought a 100 pieces but the budget was limited so I only got some items on sale. I also realized that Albam had some fabulous clothing but I was hypnotized by my neighbors.
When I came back to Chile I realized how important clothing was for me and how little I knew about it so I started researching through blogs and specially the Sartorialist where I found amazing pictures and quite a few comments of people in the know.
Now I buy via ebay with excellent results as i know exactly the brands that I like and there are some convenient prices every now and then. My last crush is Our Legacy…..It took me a long time to understand their aesthetic but I now think that they are brilliant designers, I have a soft spot for their simple tees or sweatshirts but I have an appreciation as well for their more tailored items.
I think you have very good taste in clothing and always looked for a blog that could sum up the most interesting stuff out there. Your work is gold for anyone who is initiating in the world of clothing and needs a lamp in the dark…I made that journey alone as none of my friends is interested in clothing and everything in the Chilean media is dull or over designed and a bit gay here when it comes to fashion.
Well, enough waffle…..Just receive my greetings from this corner of the world and my gratitude for your work.
    Bye!!
    MatĂas
