Penfield Winter 2013 collection

October 25, 2013

Here’s a look at the high Winter 2013 collection from American outerwear label, Penfield. As you’d expect it’s full of great coats, but with an aesthetic that’s somewhat different from previous seasons.

Having delved into their vast archive, this season Penfield have taken their influence from the garments they produced during the 1970s and 1980s. With inspiration based around the styles, fabrics and colours of those formative decades, it’s a brighter collection than you’d expect but one that’s no less appealing with lots of colour and print present.

The Men’s line features new designs such as the Chinook and Naklin, both lightweight packable pieces and both featuring 100% Nylon ripstop fabric and 80/20 down fill insulation for superior warmth. Mix in some Navy polka dots, jungle camo and paisley prints to both established and brand new styles, and you’ve got the makings of a collection that’s innovative and always interesting.

It aIl all feels quite a bit different from the usual and I like it. The image with the orange jacket and layers looks great, looks like a tasty piece.
