Ben Sherman Autumn/Winter 2013 campaign
Following on from the post I did on Ben Sherman’s Autumn/Winter 2013 collection (find that here) comes this set of campaign imagery, produced in collaboration with The Rig Out. This season’s range takes it’s inspiration from the scenic artists of the 1950s who documented the industrial towns of Northern England and as such comes under the theme of ‘Spirit of Union’.
The collection is full of colour and print, with a palette that features light blue, sage green, burnt orange, bright red and powder yellow. This is tempered with more sober shades of navy, burgundy and charcoal grey. Shirts have strong graphic elements, featuring contrasting textures and colour which marry with all-over, hand-cut lino print chinos, earthy corduroy and raw denim.
Knitwear comes in a variety of weights, from fine knit polo necks through to cable knit crew necks, plus boiled wool and jacquards in the form of zip-up cardigans. Outerwear is where the collection really shines though. There’s a number of different styles, with heavy Melton wool long coats, washed cotton Macs, parkas with Shearling collars and waxed jackets with leather detailing.
