Guild of Labour Autumn/Winter 2013 collection

Another label I discovered whilst looking around the London Collections: Men showrooms was Guild of Labour. They’re a small label who’s ethos is simple – to produce simple, beautiful product, and make it entirely in England.

Inspiration is taken from the ideals of workwear, early sportswear and also from vintage pieces from the owners’ own wardrobes. It’s not a heritage label, that’s not the point – it’s more about making clothing that continues the lineage of original workwear. And as such, the label focuses on fabrication, fit and finish, with the ideal of creating timeless long-lasting products.

Now in their second full season, the guys have put together another range of simply detailed wardrobe staples. There are a couple of outerwear variations, with traditional chore jackets and also a waxed cotton hooded jacket, all cotton shirts and in a variety of styles and some simple jersey basics.
