Henri Lloyd Autumn/Winter 2013 campaign
Celebrating 50 years of pioneering spirit, Britain’s Henri Lloyd have just released their new campaign for the Autumn/Winter 2013 season. Inspired by their rich heritage, the campaign features powerful landscape photography shot in the Shetland Islands by David Cooper which serves as the backdrop for the studio shoot by renowned fashion photographer Steve Harries.
This collection revolves around a core of winter essentials – technical and Melton wool jackets, textured knitwear in a variety of yarns and knits, jersey sweaters and more basic items like T-shirts all have a place in these new collection. The range is punctuated by colour, from vibrant tones of red and violet through to subtle Autumnal shades of burnt orange and forest green.
The label’s nautical heritage is evident throughout the garments and in none mores than the Atlas Jacket. This technical, all-weather protection jacket features a fully water and wind proof outer, with taped seams throughout and a Primaloft quilted lining for comfort and warmth. Another key piece is the more traditional Tuscana Pea Coat, a fitted Melton double breasted jacket, with multi-stitch detailing to its collar stand, cuffs, hem and welted pockets.
Although the range stays true to Henri Lloyd’s nautical heritage, it would be equally well suited to the contemporary urban environment andthey’ve deftly managed to balance the last half century of their design experience with the needs of modern consumers and environments. I wish this is what the majority thought about when they hear HL, it’s pretty outstanding stuff with an even greater history.
