Garbstore Autumn/Winter 2013 collection

July 11, 2013

With the title “For His Majesty’s Pleasure”, the inspiration for the latest Autumn/Winter 2013 collection from Garbstore comes from the UK’s prison uniforms of the 1960s and 1970s

It’s utilitarian, but that’s not to the detriment of soft tailoring, colour and fabrication which feature to great effect in a collection that’s grown up and understated. Pieces include their take on the a HMP Prison Jacket (which was originally made by prisoners themselves) and English-made knitwear, including crew-neck jumpers and scarves.

Elsewhere, staples like their Map Pocket Shirt, Civilian Service Chino and the label’s ever-loved Parka jacket also feature. And there’s a beautiful array of fabrics on show encompassing their take on camouflage (the leaf print is cracking), flecked wool and washed out cottons, all of which rounds out yet another fantastic collection from West London’s finest.
