Aspesi Spring/Summer 2013 collection

June 5, 2013

It’s fair to say I’m a bit of a fan of Italy’s Aspesi and their particular brand of casual tailored clothing. So this new editorial from Russian based retailer FOTT, featuring their stock for this season was always going to be right up my street.

It features a range of Spring/Summer 2013 garments, with a good mix of their more technical outerwear, juxtaposed with soft tailoring in the form of simple cotton blazers, shirts and chinos, all of which makes for a casual and effortless look.

As is deriguer with the label, classic silhouettes dominate and there’s a smattering of military influence running through their lightweight outerwear, all done with a laid back Italian flair. To see and buy FOTT’s selection online, go to their website here: FOTT.

For more information on the label itself, go to their website here: Aspesi.

Thanks for the heads-up on Aspesi, this is a very interesting post-industrial look. As far as influences go, to me it seems more influenced by the old heavy-machinery factories (making cars and white goods) and silos/ port storages than the ubiquitous army/navy nods. And I generally prefer it that way – my identity is easier to anchor into planned production/creation than the planned destruction/intimidation.
