Campbell Cole card holder

November 13, 2012

Not content with making excellent bags (and I should know because I use one of their totes every day), Campbell Cole have branched out with their first foray into leather accessories and produced this leather card holder.

Available in three colours (black, tan and this brown version), it’s made in the Derbyshire Peak District, with leather from Northern Irish cattle. This is vegetable tanned in the Midlands (in one of the UK’s last remaining tanneries) and the waxy nature of leather like this means it’ll develop it’s own unique patina over time.

On the exterior the Campbell Cole logo is simply blind embossed into the leather and a precision machine stitch up both sides holds everything together. On the inside is a simple cross hand-stitch, highlighted in a contrasting colour which sums up the care that’s gone into producing this.

It’s big enough to get six cards into (three each side) and the finishing touch is a simple white presentation box that’s cut, folded and foil stamped in Nottingham. For more information on the brand, or to buy online, go to the website here: Campbell Cole.

I was going to buy a Makr card holder, but now I’ve seen this I think I’ll keep it home grown.
