White Raven Autumn/Winter 2012 collection

August 3, 2012

After my brief look at Japan’s White Raven at Jacket Required (find that here), comes a full look at their latest collection for Autumn/Winter 2012. Full of the forward thinking Menswear the label are becoming renowned for, it’s a mean and moody shoot but one that gives a great idea of what the brand’s all about.

Heavy cotton jersey (itself spun and patched together), is constructed to transform humble items like tracksuits into something rather luxurious and far above its humble origins. This method is also used to great effect in the Harrington jacket I saw at Jacket Required – with it’s woven front panels, combined with shirt collar, cuffs and yoke to produce a unique piece of outerwear.

This solid, somber coloured patchwork aesthetic also features on many other pieces, like the jersey and leather bomber jacket and full length, fur collared parka. Brightening things considerably is a red,
white and blue checked jacket (again with woven front panels) and White Raven’s take on camouflage.

Finishing things off, shirts come in a variety of fabrications (including cotton Oxford and Chambray) and classic colours, in either button-down or classic collars. For more information on the brand and to find your nearest stockist, go to the website here: White Raven.
