TukTuk Spring/Summer 2013 collection

July 31, 2012

Fresh from the guys at TukTuk are these images from their Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Following on from next season’s range I featured last month (find that here), this builds upon their bold prints and also adds a range of T-shirts to proceedings.

Inspired by the desert island style and the surroundings of Sri Lanka (where TukTuk’s British design team is actually stationed), this latest collection bases itself around sailors, yachtsman and the wonders of harbouring on a tropical island.

This tropical influence can clearly be seen running through the choice of prints – pop art style bananas and an array of bright, floral patterns dominate shirts to great effect. Elsewhere there’s nautical inspired anchor prints and embroidery, plus a plethora of stripes on shirts and T-shirts alike. Plains haven’t fallen by the wayside either and there’s a selection of Oxford shirts in either long or short sleeves, with penny collars in pastel shades with Mother-of-Pearl buttons.

The label has also introduced four new chino colours; navy, maroon, toffee and Summer red. The chinos are a slim‐to‐regular fit and made from a light cotton twill – perfect for the Summer months and a light sea breeze. If getting your legs out is a priority then have no fear as there’s also a selection of ‘Oxford Beach Shorts’ available in five colours, in a loose fit and with a drawstring waist.

And finally is a selection of fine accessories with leather belts in slim, regular and woven styles, a range of five printed cotton neckerchiefs, and two new maritime inspired bags to choose from, both of which are made from organic navy canvas and come with TukTuk’s signature check lining.
