Alan Paine Spring/Summer knitwear
Now I’m a man who likes knitwear, which is great when it’s cold out and you want to be warm. It’s not so good in the Summer months though when the last thing you want is to be wrapped up and sweating. Wool goes back in the wardrobe and more often that not cotton pieces do too.
Luckily English heritage brand Alan Paine have come to the rescue of knitwear lovers with a clever new yarn which blends Supima Cotton and Clima fibres to create a range of knits that will actually keep you cool when the weather gets hot, fancy that.
Paine is the world’s first knitwear producer to use this innovative new fibre, with the specially formulated Clima fabric being made from natural fibres of renewable raw materials. Cleverly it works with your core body temperature, reacting accordingly to keep you cool even on the warmest days.
This is achieved with natural paraffin in the fabric to maintain a constant temperature, and thermal regulating features to minimise heat fluctuations between the fabric and the body. It’s all very clever stuff but it’s said to work very well.
Another characteristic is that it’s resilient to washing, meaning even after multiple times being cleaned it’ll continue to perform as it’s meant to. This nifty technology is available in a range of eight colours and four styles: – a half and long sleeve polo shirt, plus crew and a v-neck long sleeve knit.
