Private White V.C. Chippy jacket

May 2, 2012

Here’s another cracking piece from Manchester’s Private White V.C. The ‘Chippy jacket’ is a true Northern piece of outerwear, with it’s materials having been sourced from both sides of the Pennines and brought together to produce a great looking short bodied jacket.

This hard-wearing,  is constructed from a 100% soft cotton drill, woven in Lancashire with fleece linings and lamb nappa sourced from the Yorkshire Dales. With a clear workwear influence, the jacket boasts four front pocket – two button over chest pockets and a pair of lower slash pockets for keeping your hands warm (which as with the main body are also fleece lined).

Other features include a pair of additional inner pockets, Copper rivets on all pocket stress points for extra strength, inset sleeves and an ‘action back’ pleat which helps give the jacket enhanced movement and flexibility. The garment is all bound in self-fabric which gives the whole thing a clean and simple look, the only deviations in this are on the leather bound lower pockets and on the corduroy collar.

For those that fancy one of these, the jacket is available in their Lambs Conduit Street shop and also from their online shop here: Private White V.C. Chippy jacket.
