Pose London

April 6, 2012

Pose London are new brand to me, they’ve been around since 2008 but it’s only in the past couple of months (since seeing their Islington shop) that I’ve known about them. The brand make some classic Menswear and initially started out with the purpose of enhancing the wardrobes of Men looking for classic pieces, flattering fit and stylish design.

Autumn/Winter 2012 sees them retaining their flare for formal structured tailoring, but this has been bolstered with the introduction of a more utilitarian styling. There’s still a distinctly retro feel to the collection with a look that’s anchored in English Prep. Layering is key in creating a look full of different fabrics and textures with mismatched prints and patterns featuring heavily within this new relaxed feel.

A subtle, earthy colour palette of slate and silver greys, rich chocolate brown and stone sitting with burgundy and highlights of purple has been chosen and keeps everything feeling refined. Key pieces for next season include the cashmere polo neck, slate grey velvet three-piece suit, leather paneled blazer, colour blocked burgundy three-piece suit, polka dot mini collar Brompton shirt and finally, a monochrome tonal floral shirt.

As with myself, you may not have heard of Pose before but if you’re ever out and about in either Camden or Islington, pop into the shop and give them a closer look, they’ve got plenty of nice pieces at decent prices. For those that would like more information on the label, go to the website here: Pose London.

I have been following them for years and bought some of their clothes when they had the shop in Covent Garden.
