Private White V.C – limited edition tunic

March 2, 2012

British menswear label Private White V.C. has introduced the new tweed Tunic to their growing range of Menswear. Utilising quality English craftsmanship, this beautifully tailored piece is made with the finest fabrics and attention to detail.

Made from traditional Herringbone Tweed which is carefully selected from one of the label’s local mills, this classic regional fabric is paired with a distinguished Edwardian stripe cotton, which has been recreated with the help of one of the finest cloth printers of the North.

Features include a six button through front fastening using their signature black combat buttons (with the top button fastened through an angled buttonhole to allow a neater finish), and a pair of large front patch pockets with shaped flaps, (again secured with Combat buttons). For additional practicality and comfort there are splits at the side seam which have a tonal stitch detail, as does the simple mandarin stand collar.

Finally there’s a discreet inside wallet pocket and the whole thing is beautifully tailored and superbly manufactured – indeed, the lengths the label is going to in their production of pieces really is to be commended, especially when it helps keep both traditions and local businesses alive.

I dragged one of my short sleeve numbers out of the wardrobe the other week after 3 years of not wearing it. I put it on, looked in the mirror and thought ‘Will from the Inbetweeners’. ebay it went!
