Kitsuné Spring/Summer 2012 collection

January 17, 2012

‘The Great Gatsby’ is the title for the Spring/Summer 2012 collection from France’s Kitsuné. Once again it sees the label taking their unique Parisian chic and combining it with a strong American reference for a collection full of relaxed formality and ‘prep’ styling.

Although the label is quintessentially French in its look and feel, the construction and manufacture that goes into the garments is a truly global affair, using materials such as Japanese Oxford cotton and having much of the collection made in Italy. Personally I’ve always found their products (shirts particularly) beautifully made out of great materials and detailed perfectly.

In that respect this range is no different – there’s button-down shirts in pink and blue pastel hues, blue/white Oxford stripes and a classic boat shirt with a light embroidered pattern, plus an irregular striped polo shirt in washed out pastel shades of rose or grey, all featuring Kitsuné’s trademark embroidered Fox.

Complementing the range of shirts is a particularly nice lightweight two-button grey blazer made from Oxford cotton and featuring notched lapels, patch pockets and gold buttons which follows on from last season’s wool version. There’s also a slim pair of chinos made from 100% cotton twill and finally finishing things off are some moccasins made in collaboration with Quoddy.

As you’ve probably guessed from the images, selected pieces of the range are now available at End Clothing. For more information on the brand, go to the website here: Kitsuné.
