Deep Search

January 2, 2012

Here’s a look at Deep Search, a Norwegian shoe brand who’ve been around since 2009 but are sure to start getting plenty of recognition this year for their simple, elegant and often brightly coloured brand of Men’s and Women’s footwear.

There are three main styles of footwear available, all of which are the brand’s own take on the classic Oxford, Derby and Desert boot. All the shoes are made in Montebelluna, Italy, in either suede or leather (which is a particular vegetable tanned cow leather with, only made in Toscana).

All are fully leather lined with breathable anatomic insoles which are made in a mix of leather and EVA. Each upper is then double stitched onto a Vibram Moreflex sole unit giving a silhouette that’s a familiar one. It’s the bright uppers that set them apart for me though, and makes a welcome change to the see of brown and black shoes you see on the street day in, day out.

Stockist are unfortunately confined to Norway for now but the shoes can be ordered via the brand’s online shop. So for more information or to buy yourself a pair of these, go to the website here: Deep Search.

These are a bit nice, most of the normal sizes have already sold out though. Might grab a pair when there’s a re-stock. Ta for the heads up.

The view from the other barbers chair – Nice one, Rob. They don’t look to shabby especially the ‘sold out’ green boot. The Vibram sole rolls on it would seem. At over £235 for the boot they’re not a give away though? *Skint*
