Utile Chipperfield blazer

November 9, 2011

Fresh from their recent bag release (find that here), UK based Menswear label Utile are becoming a bit of a favourite round these parts. And now the lads have turned their attention to outerwear, producing a rain coat and this, the Chipperfield blazer that looks set to continue.

Cut for a regular fit and made from mid-weight 100% English cotton twill in a simple navy blue, the blazer is devoid of any superfluous detailing, with the emphasis instead being on the materials and the cut of the garment. It’s an informal piece but still quite smart, so one that’s perfect for everyday basically.

The single breasted blazer is handmade in England, comes unlined and features a three button fastening with corozo nut buttons in a matching shade of blue. A pair of front patch pockets and a single internal pocket take care of where to put your stuff and tapered sleeve detailing finishes the whole thing off making for a light and simple piece of outerwear.

For more information on the brand or to buy from their online shop, go to their website here: Utile.
