Penfield x Sperry Top-Sider

American outerwear specialists Penfield have recently teamed up with makers of the iconic nautical footwear, Sperry Top-Sider to create a capsule collection of four different styles of shoe, all of which are shod in different Penfield fabrics.

With the styles Seamate, Authentic Original 2-Eye, Authentic Original Penny and Rigger boot , there’s a bit of something for everyone in the collection. Fabrics used include corduroy, waxed camouflage cotton and herringbone tweed combined with more traditional leathers, all wrapped around Sperry’s classic footwear styles.

With over 100 years of experience and heritage between the brands the collaboration takes the best of what both companies do and combines them to produce a range of contemporary footwear. Even though I’m not a huge fan of deck shoes I must admit that I rather like all of the styles on display here, especially the Rigger boot which looks perfect for the Winter weather.

These will be available this month from a select few retailers around the globe, including Saint Alfred (Chicago), Ron Herman (various Southern California locations), Steven Alan (New York), Tenue de Nîmes (Amsterdam), Oi Polloi (Manchester), Starcow (Paris), Fott (Moscow) and Lane Crawford (Hong Kong) in strictly limited numbers.
