One Nine Zero Six‏ – Autumn/Winter 2011 ‘Sports Luxe’

September 1, 2011

One Nine Zero Six, the offshoot brand of Gymplex (which was itself founded back in 1906) has been gaining plenty of momentum recently on the internet (probably because it’s cracking clothing) and the brand recently sent over a few pieces for this Autumn/Winter 2011 launch collection for me to feature on the blog.

Designed by renowned menswear designer, Jeff Griffin, the company’s proud sportswear heritage has been utilised to create a contemporary and progressive range of Menswear and one who’s subtle approach makes it able to slot seamlessly into any blokes wardrobe.

So here we have a couple of simple jersey pieces – a sleeveless crew neck in royal blue and a long sleeve polo shirt in a charcoal/grey colourway, both produced by local Leicestershire based jersey fabric specialists and engineers. There’s also a sanforised Oxford pull-on sport shirt, high necked zip-up knitted ribbed cardigan and a hooded anorak completes proceedings.

The palette is a muted one in grey, blue and black but what the garments lack in colour they make up for in detailing, and all take influence from the label’s past but move things on with more contemporary cuts. For more information on the brand and for a full list of stockists, go to the website here: One Nine Zero Six.

They have some nice pieces. I’m looking forward to seeing more pics of the long blue coat they have on their site.
