Tender x The Hill Side woggles

August 30, 2011

If you’re a fan of the neck tie (and why wouldn’t you be?) and you fancy a natty little accessory to liven it up a bit, then it’s time to channel your inner boy scout with these lovely and simple cast metal woggles from a collaboration between Tender and The Hill Side.

Following on from special edition hand-dyed woad and logwood scarves, ties, and handkerchiefs, a Woggle was the obvious next step for the two brands to collaborate on. As with Tender’s belt buckles, a master was made by hand out of copper, which was then hand engraved with ‘TENDER Co’ at one end and ‘THE HILL-SIDE’ at the other.

The production versions are then individually lost wax cast (which means a brand new wax model is made from the original master for every single casting) and are available in polished brass, or if you fancy something a bit more colourful you can also get stove enameled versions in either red, blue or white – these are hand painted by a bloke who normally paints custom and vintage bicycle frames, before being fired to get a lovely deep glaze.

The woggles come presented on a piece of The Hill Side fabric, sat inside a simple, hand-stamped box and would make for a nice gift or just a treat for yourself. These will be exclusive to Hickorees and will be available online there very soon and for more information on Tender go to their website here: Tender Co.
