GANT Rugger x Close Up and Private

August 9, 2011

I’ve featured Sergei Sviatchenko and his excellent art meets fashion project ‘Up Close and Private’ a few times on the blog and here it is again, as part of a uniquely visual and collaborative work with GANT Rugger’s Demark based shop.

Opened last year, the Copenhagen store was quick to reach out to stylish and creatively influential men of the city’s, with the top of the list being Sergei Sviatchenko. Not only is he one of Denmark’s most respected living artists, his now world-famous Close Up and Private is also a celebration of the kind of Menswear GANT is built on – a wardrobe for the modern man inspired by American Ivy and European classics.

With cropped blazers, Fair Isle jumpers and ribbed cardigans, chinos and washed denim, plus Winter weight madras shirts, signature popover button-downs and an array of outer-wear, GANT Rugger’s Winter 2011 collection provides Mr. Sviatchenko with a rich palette of texture, colour and design with which to work and produce fantastic results.

For more information on the brand go to their website here: GANT Rugger and for more information on Sergei Sviatchenko’s excellent website go here: Close Up and Private.
