Duffer of St. George high Summer advertising campaign
Here’s a look at Duffer of St. George’s high Summer 2011 brand campaign images which sees them the parodying the current trend of Preppy styling that seems to be commonplace nowadays. Featuring established and up and coming members of London’s music and acting circles it’s a shoot that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
The Holland Park Lawn Tennis Club provided the setting and it’s one that’s proved a great backdrop to the shoot. The play on prep doesn’t undermine the style of the collection though, it’s one that firmly sits itself within collegiate style and makes no apologies for it, providing simple, affordable basics.
Granted, as with lots of collections there are bits I’d never wear but the lightweight outerwear punches well above its weight and I’ve got one of the blue and white striped T-shirts and its decent, being well finished and cut nicely. And from the bits I’ve picked up and looked at, the rest of the range is the same.
The advertising campaign was photographed by Neil Bedford, with Creative Direction by Gary Aspden and styling assistance from Steven Mann. I’ve featured the collection a couple of times (find the posts here and here) so for a closer look at the whole range check those out.
If you fancy any of what you see here, Duffer is available from JD sports and Scotts, of which there are many dotted around the country. More information on the brand can be found here: Duffer of St. George.
