PRESENT Spring/Summer 2011 collection
The lads from East London’s Menswear shop PRESENT are back again with another range of their own label clothing. It follows on from their inaugural collection for last Autumn/Winter (find the post on that here) and as with the first stab, this one looks to be another cracker.
As it’s now Summer the fabrics come in lighter weights and the outerwear is stripped back to blazers and the odd quilted jacket (well three different styles in three different colours to be specific). There’s plenty of shirting in the range, with Oxfords, fine and bold stripes, paisley and good old gingham featuring, all of which are handmade in England by Alexander Boyd.
The blazers too are made by Alexander Boyd on these fine shores and as with the shirts they’re available in a variety of patterns as are the Military style shirt jackets. This season also sees the shop branch out into it’s own label footwear to bolster the fantastic collaborations they’ve been doing with Trickers since the shop opened its doors. At the moment this is in the shape of a Chukka boot in either leather or suede.
Another addition are the iPad cases which look reminiscent of Calabrese’s version, which makes me wonder (and wouldn’t be surprised) if they’ve had a hand in these too. They come in either cotton canvas or leather and as with the footwear are another example of this own label growing and starting to become a brand in its own right.
It’s all available in store now (I’m popping there on Sunday for a good look at it all), so if you like what you see get yourself to the Shorditch High Street, or if that’s not possible you can view the collection and buy online here: PRESENT.
