Mark McNairy for Très Bien Shop Cap Toe boot

June 2, 2011

Très Bien Shop are back with another round of footwear by Mark McNairy, made exclusively for the shop and available in strictly limited numbers. I featured the white soled Country Brogue last year but this time it’s their Cap toe boot that’s caught my eye.

The boot is a Derby with toe cap (hence the name) in a ‘dirty buck’ rough suede outer with triple stitching on the toe cap and where the quarter panels meet the vamp. Matching laces pass though aged brass eyelets and a herringbone tab at the back of the boot finishes the upper off nicely.

The boots interior is lined in tan leather and are of course Goodyear storm welted in a tan leather which creates a nice break between the upper and that chunky natural crepe wedge sole which will no doubt be rather hadrwearing and last for ages. As with all of McNairy’s own labeled shoes, these are made in Northampton by the Sanders factory.
