6876 x Scene Capandula‏ jacket

April 12, 2011

6876’s Capandula jacket really doesn’t need much on an introduction, what with it being one of the brands iconic pieces of outerwear. Well here it is again, this time in a small run of 60 pieces as part of a collaboration with Birmingham based menswear shop Scene.

The jacket it now in its 10th different fabrication, this time being made from 203 gsm British Millerain waxed cotton in a lush dark green. The inner lining is again cotton with a Japanese pine bark quilting and there’s Brisbane moss corduroy on the inner placket, hem and hood, so warmth’s never going to be much of a problem.

The Lampo zip fastening front with press-stud placket, fixed hood with high neck adds to the warm, protected feeling and to ensure everything fits you snugly there’s a drawstring with plastic toggles on both the lower hem and hood. Other features include the adjustable press-stud cuffs, large hand warmer front pockets and a pair of smaller zip pockets on the front on the jacket, which is then finished off with the subtle Six Eight Seven Six branding.

I think I must be the only person on the planet that’s not feeling this incarnation.

The material and construction just looks too heavy for the cut of the jacket.

I think you might be mate! It’s certainly not a Spring jacket by any means but I reckon it’d look after you in the Winter good and proper.

Quite short for a wax though so understand what you’re getting at. Still, I wouldn’t say no though!

The Capandula’s one of them coats that’s just out and out top notch. Everytime they make a new version it’s reet proper. This one is too.

Superb more of a colder seasons coat its a very good investment.

I have one of these numbered 13. Thankfully I’m not superstitious… yet?

I’m going to put a lottery ticket on.
