Oi Polloi present Pica-Post

March 26, 2011

New from the lads at Oi Polloi is Pica-Post. It’s a bi-annual publication which will showcase what they consider to be the best clothing and footwear the shop’s stocking, and has been described as an extension of their popular online feature, Deck-Out.

Featuring staple items from such labels as WWM, Nigel Cabourn and Yuketen, plus relatively new additions like Double RL and Burkman Bros to name but a couple, it’s set to feature a decent amount of clothing alongside essays and other bits. Indeed as the cover states, this is a publication about tales, facts, clobber and chatter.

Illustration is the key element that runs through the publication with contributions from previous Oi Polloi collaborator, the illustrator Ben Lamb. Like I said, it’s not all clothing though and essays with titles like ‘Buffalo Bill & The Salford Sioux’, ‘Even God Wears Khaki’ and ‘The Thrill of A Swastika Surf Board’ are there to give you something to read when you’ve finished looking at all the cracking garb on show.

It’s available through the store and is strictly limited to only a thousand copies, so if you fancy one get in there quick, I can’t see them hanging around for long. If for whatever reason you can’t get your hands on a printed copy, you can read a digital version here: Pica-Post.

Got one the other day. Good stuff from the lads as usual as you’d expect.
