Mismo utility bag and backpack

February 18, 2011

Another season, yet more cracking new bags from Danish luggage company Mismo. Here are two new shapes – the utility bag and a new shaped backpack, both of which are the product of a collaboration with the brand and the Copenhagen based fashion store, Storm.

Both are constructed from the waterproofed, heavy duty woven cotton canvas that has become Mismo’s trademark, with the handles and straps once again being made from a dark, chocolate brown vegetable tanned full-grain leather. All of the metal fittings on the bags are produced from high quality brass.

The utility bag is interesting in that the clips on the side allow you to increase the size and shape of the bag, giving it extra capacity if needed. The bag is comprised of a single large compartment, opened and closed via a pair of zips with leather pulls. There’s a press-stud fastening pocket on the front and a small zip fastened pocket on the inside of the bag so you’re smaller items won’t get lost.

The principal of being able to adjust the capacity of the bag is continued on the rucksack which features a single large compartment that is closed with a flap and fastened with a pair of clips. These can then be adjusted as needed and the flap rolled accordingly. The bag also features a smaller internal pocket, adjustable shoulder straps and padding on the back to keep it nice and comfy no matter how much you’ve got inside it.

I think both of these are brilliant and are great additions to the brand’s range. If you’re interested in either, they’re available now from Trés Bien. For more information on the brand or to find your nearest stockist, go here: Mismo.
