What I want – Albam pillow bag

February 4, 2011

I haven’t featured anything by Albam for a while now, but as the guys start releasing more bits and pieces for Spring/Summer that will no doubt change.

One of their latest products that’s grabbed my attention is this ‘pillow bag’. It’s based on a vintage US Air Force flight bag that was found by one of the Albam team and has now been re-created by the guys into this great looking piece of kit.

The bag’s made in the UK from English sail cloth canvas and Italian vegetable-tanned leather. The tan handles loop around the body of the bag for extra strength and the same leather is also used on the trims that hold the press-studs responsible for giving the bag extra capacity when they’re unfastened, and on the removable shoulder strap that’s also included.

Plenty big enough to get a couple of days worth of clothes in and thanks to the extra strap, easily slung over your shoulder once it’s filled with stuff and you don’t want it banging against your leg as you carry it about. A versatile piece and one that seems perfect for both the working week and weekends away, plus it also benefits from the ability be rolled flat when you’re not using it, although it’s so nice I can’t see it getting put away too often.

Available in store now, or you can also buy online here: Albam pillow bag.
