Mark McNairy Saddle shoes at Number six London

January 19, 2011

London based shop Number Six have been featured on here quite a lot recently and with good reason – the lads have been getting some cracking stock in and provide a bloody good service. These Saddle shoes from Mark McNairy New Amsterdam collection continue that theme and are all exclusive to Number Six London.

Made from a mix of Nubuck and leather and mated to a red brick Dainite sole via a Goodyear welt, the shoes are designed in the USA but all are made in Northampton. There are three colourways in the range – navy and tan, charcoal and dark brown and then a more adventurous multi-panelled version, with two shades of both Nubuck and leather being used.

These also feature white stitching and laces for further contrast, whilst the other versions receive tonal laces and stitching. Personally I think all of them would look good with white laces but that’s an easy enough fix and it’s certainly not to say that they don’t already look pretty smart.

For me the navy’s are the pick of the bunch, but that’s hardly a surprise is it. I’d never really thought about a pair of Saddle shoes before but I think these work really well and I think I prefer the contrast to the upper that the leather gives as opposed to the plain uppers on a normal pair of bucks.

These are all available now, so if you fancy a pair get yourself to the store, or you can order from their website here: Number Six London.

Not one for ‘shoes’, I pleasantly surprised as I can see myself in the multi-panelled version.
    Thanks for posting sir!

Bit gimmicky these. The red brick sole and eyelets combination screams 2011.

They did a range last season I think. I had no idea you could get YMC in TK Maxx!

I’ve seen and purchased some amazing things in TK Maxx over the years from brands you wouldn’t really expect to see in there. A regular check and a little bit of patience can be extremely rewarding!
