3Sixteen Autumn/Winter 2010 close ups

December 13, 2010

New York Menswear brand 3sixteen have recently added detail shots of their Autumn/Winter 2010 range to their online store so customers can get a better idea of what the garments look like up close.

The images show off the detailing and fabrics used particularly well and help give a better idea of what you’re buying.

The shots of the Duffle coat show off the heavyweight wool, the leather and wood toggles and that beautiful quilting on the shoulders. It comes in three colours but for me the grey is the pick of the bunch. The Harrington image captures the waterproof wool outer to good effect and the last two images are of their waxed cotton Stadium jacket and show the contrast between the waxed cotton outer and the cotton ribbing used on the collar, cuffs, pockets and hem.

Personally, I love these types of shot as they help give you a better understanding of a garment – obviously they’re no substitute for actually getting your hands on something, but sometimes that’s just not possible and you have to take a punt.

I’m stupidly picky about the clothes I buy and like to see things in as much detail as possible before I purchase, so it can only be a good thing that more brands are showing their product up close as we buy more and more online from around the globe.
