A skate video with a difference today. Skateistan: To Live And Skate Kabul is a short film that follows the lives of young skateboarders living in Kabul, Afghanistan.

The film shows the efforts of the charity Skateistan and its project where a team of international volunteers work with children aged between five and 17, not just teaching them how to skateboard but also helping them build relationships and giving them more confidence in their lives.

It’s a beautifully shot piece of film and one that shows something as simple as a wheeled plank of wood having a positive effect on children’s lives. To find out more about the project, or to donate to this worthwhile cause, go here: Skateistan.
