Bedouin Ottoman rucksack

October 12, 2010

Another cracker of a bag from Bedouin. As I’ve said before I’m not a huge fan of the rucksack but when it’s as good looking and luxurious as this it’s hard not to be impressed.

As I said when I did a piece on their Mamluke overnight bag (find that here) the brand is fully committed to the use of only premium materials and fittings for their bags and this once again shines through with their Ottoman rucksack.

The bag is made from a mix of British Millerain waxed cotton canvas for the body and a vegetable tanned leather is used for the straps and the front pocket flap. A roll top helps to expand the bag’s capacity, giving it a decent internal size and also features a laptop sleeve at rear of the inner compartment (which can fit a laptop up to 17”), so it’s prefect for carting about loads of stuff day-to-day.

Other features include a padded back panel for added comfort, the straps are also felt padded and adjust via AustriAlpin Cobra sliders and the external front pocket itself fastens with a AustriAlpin Cobra FC33B buckle. It’s available in three colours – black, tan or khaki with highlight felt colour and with a selection of linings.

For more information on the brand, or to view the whole range visit their website here: Bedouin.
