Common Projects Derby shoes

February 4, 2013

Although the emphasis of the line predominately revolves around casual footwear, New York’s Common Projects also have a line of more formal pieces and I’ve been giving serious consideration to these since seeing them last year.

These particular Derby shoes have a slim shape with a rounded toe and come in a premium polished black leather. It’s a simple construction with nothing superfluous in the way of details – just some tonal piping, a nice heel detail and single round canvas laces.

They’re also fully lined in soft natural leather and sits on a wedge crepe sole that attaches to the upper via a natural leather welt. They also come with an extra pair of laces and dustbag to keep they fresh when they’re stored away.

Available now from Très Bien Shop, go here if you fancy a pair. For more information on the brand itself, go to the website here: Common Projects.

Lovely. Simple upper. Crepe sole. Job done.
