D.S.Dundee Autumn/Winter 2012 collection
Here’s the latest collection lookbook from Scotland’s D.S.Dundee, a label that I’ve followed for a while, and one that certainly impressed with their brilliant range for next year at the recent Jacket Required trade show (find that report here).
Shot in the Highlands of Scotland, the fantastic images perfectly portray the traditions and influences behind the brand and its clothing. Whilst Spring/Summer 2013 is focused on brighter colours and more technical fabrications, this selection for the Winter season is all about layering and natural, hardy cold weather cloths.
With everything geared up to life in the great outdoors, you’d expect tweed and thick wools to be a prominent feature throughout, which they are – having been made into both outerwear and three-piece suits. Scottish waxed cotton also features on jackets, all of which come in a palette of earthy, natural tones. The shirt selection focusses on classic colours in classic styles to stay perfectly in keeping with the rest of the range.
Knitwear has always been one of this label’s strengths and this is once again the case here – cardigans, polo necks and crew necks feature in a multitude of knitting styles, and there’s also some lovely accessories like chunky scarves and tweed ties to finish things off.
