Oliver Spencer Autumn/Winter 2010
More Autumn/Winter 2010 lovelyness, this time from Oliver Spencer. As we’ve come to expect from Spencer, the collection features great looking clothing – from outerwear to knits, shirting and accessories this looks like another strong showing.
Everything looks very wearable, there’s nothing ‘out there’ and nothing is too much – all of the detailing looks spot on with great textures and cloths used, just the right amount of pockets on the outerwear, good buttons all round and a simple but strong colour palette.
The red jacket in the first pic is an absolute winner straight off – give me an over the head anorak with a high collar into a hood and I’m a happy man. I’ve spent years only wearing blue or black outerwear but I think it might be time to give something a bit brighter a try and red might just fit the bill perfectly. The rest of the outerwear looks cracking too and it’s all UK manufactured to boot, standout pieces for me are the Donkey jacket and the Lookout coat.
The knitwear once again impresses and the cardigan in the second shot looks great, especially when teamed up with the herringbone Lookout coat. The Atlantic jumper is also a smart looking thing and the red herringbone tape and buttons compliment the charcoal base perfectly.
Moving on, the shirting is typical Oliver Spencer – simple fabrics, great details (pockets and contrasting fabrics etc.) and lots of size options at a decent price, what you’d want from this staple item basically.
